1st week @ KPMG
1st week of work is over and im glad i survived it!! still not used to waking up at 7 in the morning to get ready for work tho.. think i'll need some time to adjust to my new work life..
some updates on what happened during first week of work.. we had a 2 day onboarding programme arranged for us for the first 2 days.. kinda like orientation where we had introduction talks, some team building games and we even had amazing race around cbd area.. kinda lame but i think my group (Table 1) had a great time.. hahah..
im so glad that my group members are a bunch of crazy and fun loving ppl.. it seems like all of us click on the first day and there was non-stop laughter throughout the the 2 days of orientation.. guess i enjoyed myself and not drag gg to work mainly due to ppl in my group.. hahha.. so sad we were split up for the rest of the training

we were all distributed a suitcase each to bring home on the first day.. the suitcase is so attention seeking tt i felt so embarassed to carry it home on the bus.. esp with such a big pic on "I LOVE KPMG".
here comes the most stressful part.. there was a welcome dinner organised for us at Grand Copthorne where we get to meet the partners and managers of our unit.. the dinner was really a social night where we had to talk to the big shots!! trust me it's really very stressful sitting at the table.. my manager was like asking questions and we had to answer one by one around the table.. there was totally no time where i can stone or be less alert... so glad tt it's over now..
from thu to next fri will be training, trainig and more training.. hahha.. but one good thing is that we can get to go home early at like 445 or 5.. i hope tt it can sustain until the end.. cos i know this is impossible to go back at such timing when we go back to our unit and start on audit..
i had been assigned to a department that is mainly doing the financial sector.. i wasnt really interested in this but i guess i had to adapt to it.. but one good thing is that the dept is doing some other industries as well and we can get to be rotated.. so i hope i can be exposed to others other than the banks.. haha...
heard tt my department is a 'drinking and eating' department cos the people (from partners to associates) there really love to eat.. hhhaha.. we had a mini welcome party for the new associates on thursday, and they are planning for an overseas eating trip for us in november.. i guess it's a good thing cos i can get free food as well? hhaha.. i kinda like my department alr, tho i haven start work cos so far the interactions and meetings with the people there is great.. they all seem so nice and approachable.. =)
i think i haven been blogging for a long time tt i feel so weird having to blog again.. i feel my writing and language is a little off.. not as smooth flowing as it used to be.. i need to adjust back.. :P hahha
it's the weekends!! whoohoo!!
